Tim started the morning by telling the kids the Christmas story with our little Nativity scene. He's such a good daddy. Josh knows the story pretty well already- (aside from the cigarettes) When I ask him where Jesus was born, he even knows to say "Bethlehem!" Ivy was enamored with the baby as, of course, this is her obsession.
They couldn't wait to open the presents. Actually, they slept til nearly 8:30 this morning which was a nice treat for mommy and daddy! Its so much fun to watch their excitement!
Josh has been talking for weeks about being a police officer when he grows up, so we thought an appropriate gift would be cap guns :) I bought an additional 2000 rounds of caps for the gun and he's probably blown through 300 so far!
This was a special gift from Josh to Ivy. At a thrift store we came across a bag of about 50 beaded bracelets for $1.50. Josh insisted that Ivy needed some "jewlies." She loves dressing up and feeling pretty!
The kids love playing make believe- they drive to the grocery store or ice cream stand or Papa John's :) So i sewed several stuffed veggies for them to shop with. This was a fun project for me- i sewed during nap times and after they were tucked in at night. Christmas post #2 to come....(i can only post a few pics at a time!)
