In the past I've explained to Josh that I don't get videos for him that include Sesame Street's Elmo- the character talks like a baby and, in my opinion, is only a half a step above Teletubbies...they just annoy me!...
Josh: Mama, why can't I watch Elmo? Is it because he annoys you?
Me: Yes...we've been over this before- go brush your teeth so we can get started with school this morning.
Josh: Mama, school annoys me.
Oi vey- he picks things up too quickly

Elmo bugs me too. I let Conlan watch him in small doses, honestly, because sometimes I just need the hour of Sesame Street to myself. I am not proud of going there sometimes, but it happens. He LOVES Elmo, but only gets him every once in a while.
